I have Cotoneaster Horizontalis growing by the shed, it fills an awkward space and as you say the birds love the berries. Well done with the Holly Blue, I have them in my garden but have never managed a photo.

I wonder how much money the scientists spent on working that little bit of wisdom out, I would have thought it was a pretty obvious conclusion to come to ;-)

I love the Blackbird photo!ShySongbirdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08148381873578585910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1020248611639053541.post-44179550211479474432012-06-01T17:29:07.769+01:002012-06-01T17:29:07.769+01:00Fantastic photographs, beautiful plant. Great pic of the two blackbirds and the butterfly I have never seen one of those in my garden - you must be doing something right.elaine https://www.blogger.com/profile/17075935631756457901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1020248611639053541.post-21814617321292569202012-05-31T20:33:35.712+01:002012-05-31T20:33:35.712+01:00I love that idea of pests being near the birdfeede...I love that idea of pests being near the birdfeeder checkout. Ive always thought that they do their thing so well in urban & municipal planting schemes, especially when the berries appear in autumn. Lovely to see the Holly Blue, I too have had one visit the garden this year, except mine was on a Pyracantha.kirstallcreatureshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13998154163393757732noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1020248611639053541.post-8481350889510336022012-05-31T19:36:21.282+01:002012-05-31T19:36:21.282+01:00The cotoneaster is so pretty, I didn't know cl...The cotoneaster is so pretty, I didn't know clipping would make them dense and upright. I think they are eating my strawberries though. I'll see if filling the bird feeders will stop them from eating the strawberries.Mary Pelleritohttp://mary-goingnative.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.com
