I always feel anxious when I see and hear newly emerged fledglings hiding around the garden especially as there are neighbourhood cats around quite often :-(

I do hope they survive, such a cute photo of the one in the trug. What a blessing you found it there, I'm sure it would have had great difficulty getting out on its own!ShySongbirdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08148381873578585910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1020248611639053541.post-6153628700155534932012-05-23T13:01:09.535+01:002012-05-23T13:01:09.535+01:00Found one in the apple tree this morning. They can't fly yet but they're getting better at hopping around.Crystalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07725991262021867082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1020248611639053541.post-67914776921824454162012-05-23T12:59:08.237+01:002012-05-23T12:59:08.237+01:00Our neighbour used to have a magpie's nest eve...Our neighbour used to have a magpie's nest every year. Think I would rather have blue tits. The magpies are huge birds that seem to grow extremely quickly, within a few weeks they seem to become 'teenagers'.Kellihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06263430746482725687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1020248611639053541.post-78737338897888801182012-05-23T02:09:08.808+01:002012-05-23T02:09:08.808+01:00What a lucky bird that he has you to look out for ...What a lucky bird that he has you to look out for him. I have two bird houses with nests in them and I just hope the babies don't fledge while my dogs are outside. I'm keeping a close eye on the houses. Watching baby birds is more fun than mowing, anyway. :o)Casa Mariposahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16647089868277238456noreply@blogger.com
